“Consult with a TCM
doctor: Pulse and tongue diagnostics”
Traditional Chinese
Medicine (TCM) helps support health and well-being by identifying patterns of
imbalance that cause illness and pain. These imbalances are assessed and
treated in ways that aim to restore the body’s balance of Yin and Yang.
TCM doctors diagnose diseases based on Yin-Yang theory and the Five Elements, using four diagnostic methods:
- Observation (望): Looking at the tongue and body appearance
- Smelling and Listening (闻): Observing the voice, breathing, and odors.
- Questioning (问): Asking about medical history, symptoms, and lifestyle.
- Pulse Diagnosis (切): Assessing energy and organ function through the pulse.
Based on the diagnosis, treatment plans may include Acupuncture, Cupping Therapy, Chinese Herbal Medicine, or Gua Sha.
When the Qi and blood of the internal organs are balanced, the body can maintain normal emotional and mental functions. If there is an imbalance, it can lead to discomfort and, over time, further illness.
Treatment Principles:
- Address the root causes of disease
- Enhance immunity and eliminate contributing factors
- Balance Yin-Yang energy, Qi, and blood
- Regulate internal organ functions to improve effectiveness
- Tailor treatments to each individual’s body condition
